Dining
The choice is yours. With Freestyle Cruising, you travel a world of dining options all in one week. From elegant French bistros and Italian trattorias to sushi and tapas bars, and more, there's a different dining option for almost every night of your cruise. With up to 10 different restaurants, each featuring a diverse an ever-changing menu, you'll always find exactly what you're in the mood for. And there are no fixed seatings. Imagine restaurants open from 5:30 pm to midnight so that you can choose from an early dinner before the show or a later romantic dinner for the two of you. And of course there's always the option of 24-hour room service. You're free to dine where, when and with whom you choose. Just as it should be on your vacation.
Attire
Wear what you want. Dress according to your mood. It is your vacation. "Resort casual" attire is as dressy as you'll ever have to get for dinner. But if it's elegance you're dreaming of, we invite you to indulge. Many of our restaurants offer formal options. If you prefer more casual dress, that's fine, too. How you dress is up to you.
Service
You're about to be pampered. By adding additional crewmembers to every ship in our fleet we're able to offer exceptional service. With almost one crewmember per stateroom, you can be assured you'll be very well taken care of when you cruise with us.
Activities
Do everything, or nothing at all. For those who prefer to be active, our new LifeStyle Program features adventurous Shore Excursions, art auctions, health and wellness programs, cooking demonstrations – all kinds of activities aimed at challenging your mind as well as your body. Or you can simply relax and enjoy not having a schedule to follow. We pick the ports, but the rest of the day is your call.
Gratuities
Easier for you. For your convenience, NCL now automatically applies a service charge to your shipboard account: $10 per guest per day for guest age 13 and above, $5 per day for children age 3-12 and no charge for children under the age of three. All service personnel on board receive gratuities from this service charge, so there's no need to think about additional tipping. Bar drinks and spa services have "as-you-go" service charges added separately.

Fun for kids of all ages! Our fun and flexible, complimentary Kid's Crew Program is designed for kids from 2 to 17. The well-trained conselors offer and age-appropriate array of fun-filled options so kids can get as much excitement out of the cruise as you do during days at sea. And on NCL, your kids can also learn while they are having fun! With everything from parties and video arcades to stimulating learning sessions, we provide so much fun we know your kids wil have the trip of a lifetime! What is the Kid's Crew Program?
You want to go here. They want to go there. You want to unwind. They're just winding up. How do you take a real vacation and still bring the kids? By taking separate vacations, together.
NCL's Kid's Crew is a program of things to do, places to go and kids to meet. It's like recess, only longer. Sleep-away camp, only better. Because your children won't get homesick, but they also won't get underfoot. You can enjoy a massage while they're on a treasure hunt. Play roulette while they're camping out, or head for the Chocoholic Buffet while they're having a pillow fight at a pajama party.
Every minute they spend in Kid's Crew is carefully supervised by our staff of youth counselors from leading universities and organizations. Prior to coming aboard, they attend a special training course on team and confidence building, communication skills, safety and working with children who have special needs. Together they've come up with an impressive bag of tricks for your kids.
There are circuses, crafts, parades, sports, games, stories and parties. Campouts with flashlights and tents, and cooking classes where they can make pizza or pancakes with funny faces. There is T-shirt painting, face painting and poolside root beer floats. Treasure hunts and sand castle competitions on our private island. And even shore excursions designed just for families. Of course we promise we'll give them plenty of time to spend with you, too. Shoot some hoops at the basketball court. Take them to the magic show. Let junior beat you at table tennis. (Or maybe try hard not to.)
What's for dinner?
That's for you to decide. You can make it a family affair in one of our elegant dining rooms, or have dinner for two while the kids are served up meatballs and spaghetti. We offer eight delicious children's menus to tempt the most finicky eaters. And of course, there's always peanut butter and jelly on hand, just in case.
As a matter of fact, it's a toss-up who loves Kid's Crew more. Because while they're doing their thing, you're free to do yours. An aerobics class? Step right up. An intimate dinner at Le Bistro? Follow me please. A few hands of blackjack? You bet.
As you can see, your kids won't be having all the fun. And since almost everything is included, your kids won't be constantly pestering you for money. (And neither will we.) Think about it. How are the kid's activities?
Activities are organized according to age group, as follows:
Junior Sailors (ages 2-5) Activities for Junior Sailors are now available year-round. Junior Sailors are amused by storytelling, T-shirt painting, arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows, and Circus at Sea. Outdoor and indoor games provide endless hours of fun.
First Mates (ages 6-8) Onboard NCL, First Mates participate in wacky cooking classes, decorative T-shirt painting, sing-alongs, and poolside root beer float parties. The "Kid's Crew Program" program also coordinates on-shore activities including a treasure hunt and sandcastle building competition on NCL's private island.
Navigators (ages 9-12) Navigators test their skill at Sega and video games, and search for treasures on scavenger hunts. Evenings are filled with pajama parties, movies, and camp-outs with flashlights and tents.
Teens (ages 13-17) NCL entertains Teens throughout the daytime and into the evening. By day, Teens enjoy pool parties, volleyball and basketball, The Newlymet Game, and trivia contests. Evenings are filled with NCL's Broadway-style shows and spectaculars, line dancing, teen disco, and special theme parties.
What's does it include?
The "Kid's Crew Program" program includes a plethora of supervised games, T-shirts for design painting, and a Mom and Dad's Night Out. Children receive their own Cruise News detailing daily events.
A complimentary chef's hat, also included in the program, is essential for creative cooking classes where children can make decorative pizzas or cookies. NCL's autograph/scrapbooks make perfect mementos of the kids' experiences and friendships. Junior cruisers can even celebrate their birthdays on the high seas with NCL's special "Kid's Crew Program" birthday parties.
An exceptionally qualified staff of trained counselors run NCL's "Kid's Crew Program" program in a safe and secure environment.
