As our guest, your comfort is our priority. The moment you step on board, a white-gloved steward will escort you to your stateroom where you will find all the comforts of home, as well as a few of the surprises that have made Holland America Line the world's finest premium cruise line.
Throughout your voyage with us, attentive cabin stewards provide unobtrusive service, replenishing ice and arranging fresh fruit, turning down beds and leaving Sweet Dreams chocolates. Our gracious crew members dedicate themselves to your satisfaction and are known for impeccable five-star service.
On average, our staterooms are 25 percent larger than on other ships in our category, giving you more room to stretch out. All staterooms include self-controlled air conditioning; a telephone and closed circuit TV; luxurious soaps, shampoos and lotions; music channel system; and 24-hour complimentary room service.
Suite Amenities
Guests who choose suite accommodations enjoy several additional amenities -from personalized stationery and luxurious duvets to in-suite afternoon tea and savory hors d'oeuvres -all with the Captain's compliments.
Neptune Lounge
The exclusive Neptune Lounge offers Deluxe Verandah Suite and Penthouse Suite guests a private retreat where they can relax, read and socialize. Guests may take advantage of personalized services from the lounge's concierge, who will gladly make reservations for shore excursions, car rentals, the Pinnacle Grill dining experience and more. Currently available on nine Holland America Line ships, the Neptune Lounge will soon be added to all ships in our fleet.

Savor World-Class Cuisine
Holland America Line serves incomparable cuisine in a variety of wonderful ways -from bountiful buffets and dress-up dinners to hors d'oeuvres on your verandah and a picnic on the beach. We offer the most extensive menus at sea (with more than 500 different food items on a typical 7-day cruise), blending together modern Continental cuisine, regional specialties appropriate to each cruising area and traditional favorites. Our chefs are all members of the prestigious Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs gourmet society.
Yes, your mouth will water at the aroma of so many delicious options. But your other senses will delight as well -fine dining has always been the rule on our ships with signature touches like Rosenthal china, starched linens, silver and fresh flowers to enhance your meal. With so many tastes to tempt you and venues to enjoy, you're sure to experience the many pleasures world-class dining can offer.
In addition to breakfast, lunch and a five-course dinner, you can enjoy: afternoon tea; a stirfry or pasta buffet; an ice cream bar; hot hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hours; an evening espresso or cappuccino, and the traditional late-night snack (one of which will be our Dutch Chocolate Extravaganza). Or, try the Terrace Grill, located outside, featuring hamburgers and hot dogs as well as a taco bar and a daily special. And, of course, complimentary room service is available 24 hours a day. Casual dining is available in the Lido Restaurant every night.
Luxury dining options in the Pinnacle Grill, featuring the highest quality meat and fish, is available on all ships except the MS Noordam. Reservations may be made on board by contacting the restaurant manager. There will be a minimal restaurant charge. Suite guests have reservation preference.
Holland America Line ships offer open seating for breakfast and lunch. There are four sittings for dinner on our ships. Dinner times are 5:45 pm (First Upper), 6:15 pm (First Lower), 8:00 pm (Main Upper) and 8:30 pm (Main Lower). You may request any sitting time, table size and with whom you wish to sit. All such requests should be made in advance of sailing through your Cruises 24/7 Travel Pro.
Requests will be confirmed or waitlisted at the time of booking. Table numbers and table size are on request only and will be assigned by the Maitre d' on board.
The status of your seating request is listed on your Cruise Contract. A confirmation card with seating assignment and table numbers will be waiting for you in your stateroom upon boarding. If for some reason your dining request was not submitted before your cruise date, the Maitre d' will assign you to the sitting that is available.
Special diets and meals, such as Kosher (Kosher meals are prepared off the ship in a Kosher kitchen, frozen and brought to the table sealed in their original containers. There is no Kosher kitchen on board nor do we have Kosher dishes, utensils, pots or pans on the ship.), Passover Seder dinner, gluten-free, salt-free, fat-free, baby food, diabetic and other special dietary needs can be accommodated only if we are notified in advance. To arrange special diets, please contact the Ship Services Department at 800-541-1576 at least 60 days prior to departure. While we shall do our utmost to fulfill all requests, it may not always be feasible. Holland America Line reserves the right to substitute products when specified brands are not available. An additional charge, including shipping and handling, may be applied. Reconfirm any special requests with the Maitre d' after you board.
Main Dining Room
Each evening as the dinner hour approaches, the melodious call of the chime master invites guests to the main dining room, where another incredible experience awaits. Rare art, elegant staircases and panoramic windows surround tables laid with fine linens, silver and sparkling stemware. Servers greet guests and present menus of sumptuous five-course selections, from appetizers and drinks to entrées and dessert.
Savor seared sea scallops, filet mignon topped with crab and Hollandaise, and wines rated "excellent" by The Wine Spectator. Fresh herbs and imaginative combinations make lighter fare an equally tempting choice, and we gladly offer a kosher menu and options to meet special dietary needs upon request.

The Lido Restaurant
Light, casual, delicious! Our Lido restaurant was the first of its kind in the cruise industry. And although there are many imitators, none matches our extensive menu or helpful service. Choose the Lido for a relaxed, casual meal.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner, the Lido offers a broad selection of freshly carved meats and seafood, fruits and vegetables, breads and cereals, beverages and desserts. Choose from sizzling Asian stir-fry, popular pizza and pasta dishes, festive Mexican fare, fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches. The Lido also offers different seating venues. Eat indoors in the air-conditioned restaurant or enjoy the fresh air on deck.
The Pinnacle Grill Experience
Guests who dine at the intimate, reservations-only Pinnacle Grill enjoy a dining experience themed to reflect the Pacific Northwest. Candlelight and fine décor create a romantic ambiance that sets the stage for fresh Northwest dishes and select wines.
Changing menus in the Pinnacle Grill include savory seafood dishes such as Northwest clam chowder, Alaskan king salmon and Dungeness crab cakes with spiral shaved cucumber and sweet chili sauce. Premium hand-selected cuts of beef and unique items like wild mushroom ravioli are also featured. A collection of delectable desserts naturally includes baked Alaska.
Guests who wish to enjoy the Pinnacle Grill experience should make reservations early. There is a modest surcharge for this extraordinary dining experience.

Monoi oil has been used for centuries in Tahiti to soften the skin and hair of brides. After cleansing your hair you can enjoy a deep scalp massage for fifteen minutes using this precious ingredient to ease away scalp stress and give the hair a glossy and healthy shine. We leave the Tahitian Monoi oil on the hair and scalp for fifteen minutes under a warmed towel. Hair will be style dried or set. Nail Services Your onboard nail technician offers manicure and pedicure services from full pampering to last-minute repairs. Amusements and activities are plentiful on board our ships. With so many choices, there's something to suit everyone.
Casino
When our ships are at sea, the casino lights up for gaming enthusiasts. Try your luck in the casino at the slot machines and blackjack tables, at dice and on the roulette wheel or in a game of Caribbean stud poker. And after 11 p.m. the Mega-Slot Tournament begins. Our stewards will keep your glass filled with champagne while you try to fill the slots with three of a kind. Let the games begin!
Bingo and Lottery
Other entertaining pastimes include Bingo games with jackpots up to $2,000. Some sailings even include a Super Bingo prize of $25,000! In addition, guests of all ships can win a chance for a free cruise in the cruise lottery.

When you're feeling athletic, there are pools for swimming and decks for strolling. Exercise classes, deck games and dual-purpose tennis/volleyball courts offer more fun.

Just as the intriguing shops in the day's port of call fade into the horizon, a whole new world of shopping opens on board Holland America Line ships. Shop the onboard boutiques for duty-free treasures, including French fragrances and Swiss watches, fine liqueurs and designer goods.
Custom Tailoring
For the ultimate personalized shopping experience, on select sailings guests may customize a garment with help from a Davanti fashion consultant. Women and men alike may order a variety of custom-made garments, including casual and dress shirts, slacks, skirts, jackets, pants and even tuxedos, overcoats and vests. Internet Center
As you cruise one part of the world, the rest of the world is never far away. Connect with everyone back home via the Internet. Stay in touch with loved ones, do business, check stock quotes or share vacation experiences in real time.
Each ship's Internet Center offers computers with Internet access and printers. In addition, 802.11b wireless "hot spots" are available on all ships for guests traveling with personal laptop computers with wireless capability. Guests may also rent wireless-equipped laptops onboard.
Vista-Class ships - including ms Oosterdam, ms Westerdam and ms Zuiderdam - access the Internet directly from guest rooms using the dial-up connector on personal laptop computers.
Guests needing to access their home or business e-mail service or other Internet services should remember to bring login username, password, and relevant access information.
Club HAL for Kids
With supervised fun for our young guests, the entire family can have the vacation of their dreams. Club HAL provides a wide variety of exciting activities for kids ages 5 to 17. Participating youngsters receive an activity program delivered to their stateroom and a Club HAL t-shirt.
Age-Appropriate
Club HAL activities are designed to be age appropriate. Examples include storytelling, arts and crafts, ice-cream sundae or pizza parties, ship tours and bingo for the little ones (ages 5 to 8). For 'tweens (ages 9 to 12) there's miniature golf, Ping-Pong, theme parties, on-deck sports events and scavenger hunts. Teens (ages 13 to 17) can enjoy a teen disco, dance lessons, arcade games, sports tournaments, card games, trivia contests, bingo, movies and videos.
Special shore excursions
Select itineraries even offer "kids-only" shore excursions to Half Moon Cay (our private island in the Bahamas) and exploratory adventures in several Alaskan ports of call.
Supervision
All activities are supervised by permanent, full-time Club HAL directors and assistants. Club HAL directors hold degrees in education, childhood development, recreation, leisure studies or related fields.
Additional Family Services
Holland America Line provides a number of other services to families traveling with us. We serve a wide variety of kid-pleasing food, including special sandwiches, tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. Baby food, high chairs and booster seats may be requested in advance of boarding. Baby-sitting services are available for a small surcharge.
Single Partner Program
Solo travelers enjoy an exceptional cruise vacation and shipboard atmosphere of camaraderie on board Holland America Line. Each ship throws mixers for single travelers and plenty of activities make meeting others easy and fun. On most cruises of 14 days or longer, onboard social hosts welcome single women guests to dinner and dancing.
Single guests who agree to share a stateroom with another non-smoking guest of the same sex pay only the per-person, double-occupancy rate. (If we can't find a partner for you, you cruise solo at the agreed-upon double-occupancy fare.) Many of our Single Partner Program guests have become fast friends and some even book another Holland America Line cruise – together.
Single guests who prefer not to share a stateroom may book a double stateroom for 150 to 200 percent of the double occupancy fare, depending on the cruise and stateroom category. Launch a lifetime of memories with a wedding on one of our elegant ships, under the palms on an exotic Caribbean island beach or on the peak of a majestic Alaskan glacier. Our wedding coordinator is ready to assist you.
Wedding packages include a personalized ceremony, wedding coordinator services, flowers, cake, champagne, photo album, recorded music and a keepsake wedding certificate. Services such as photography, live music, receptions and pampering appointments can be added to customize your wedding package.
